Message from the CEO

ISHIMARU SEIMEN was founded in SANUKI (old name of KAGAWA prefecture, Japan) in 1904. For about 120 years we have continued to make SANUKI UDON noodles, a renowned tempting specialty not only in Japan but many other countries now.

In order to make delicious dried noodles including SANUKI UDON, we’ve been selecting high-quality wheat, developing latest machine-made technology based on traditional hand-made methods, and introducing strict food safety management system.

Above all we make much of the quality of wheat flour we use. Researching the particular properties of wheat, we positively utilize various high-quality Japanese domestic wheat such as “Sanuki-no-Yume (Dream of SANUKI)” which was specially developed for SANUKI UDON as well as conventional high-grade Australian wheat.

We also emphasize the importance of encounters with various people who may let us notice many things such as new ingredients, new technology and new customers. So we hold our factory tour for everyone to promote such new encounters. We make every effort to produce our best products and promote new opportunities, having love for our hometown and taking pride in SANUKI UDON.

石丸制面成立于1904年。
至今约120年之久,我们持之以恒的制作了我国引以为豪的地区名产赞岐乌冬面。
成立以来、我们通过迎合香川风土气候生产的小麦,通过磨面和揉面产业了解到小麦独有的各种特性。
研究原料的特性,积极采用且活用现在最受欢迎的国产小麦“赞岐之梦”以及各式各样国产原料。

如今,我们为了制作出让顾客满意的干面产品,不断的努力研究赞岐传统乌冬面的制作方法,在制面机的高效率生产技术上融合了独立开发的制面技术。本公司的工厂就是我们努力的结晶,工厂对外开放并接受参观,通过与人们的 交流中获得新的灵感。

在与顾客的相遇相知中,拓宽我们的梦想边际。在与地域文化的接触中,使人感怀当地的风土历史。
在与各式各样的原材料融合的过程中,迎接新的可能性。在与顾客的接触过程中,不断的激发我们在精益求精的制作灵感。

July 1904:Yoshitaro Ishimaru founded a dried noodle making industry
July 1910:Began flour milling by waterwheel
April 1948:Our third owner, Yoshitaka Ishimaru, inherited the business
May 1966:Closed flour milling business
October 1969:Transformed the organization into a corporation
March 1984:Successful commercialization of handmade dried noodle for the first time in Japan
June 1988:Established a half-dried noodle making factory by our own unique development
October 1992:Established a state of the art dried noodle making factory (1st Factory)
October 1996:Awarded the Food Hygiene Excellence Facility Award
by the Minister of Health and Welfare
June 2001:Established a new handmade dried noodle factory (2nd Factory)
September 2002:Established a new half-dried noodle factory (3rd Factory)
July 2004:100th anniversary of our foundation
December 2004:Our current president, Yoshiki Ishimaru, became president
February 2011:Completed a new noodle manufacturing line in 3rd Factory
August 2014:“Cha UDON (Green Tea UDON)” awarded as the Best Local Product of Kagawa Prefecture

December 2018 : Certified as a “Regional Future Leading Company” by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry
October 2019 : 50th anniversary of foundation
March 2021 : Awarded the “Pride of Takamatsu, the Seto Capital of Japan Business Award” (for Company supporting wowen’s advancement in the category of Workplace Reform)
March 2022: Awarded the Kagawa Award for Promotion of Workplace Reform (Grand Prize)
January 2023: Awarded the Grand Prize as a leading company supporting women’s activities and child-rearing in 2022.
May 2023: Yoshiki Ishimaru, our president, received the “Constitution Day Governor’s Commendation” (Kagawa Prefecture) in 2023.
May 2023: Awarded “Overall Grand Champion” at The Dry Noodle Grand Prix in Tokyo 2023.

We always ensure food safety for our customers by disclosing our food safety measures. In 2018 we botained the internationally authoritative food safety system, FSSC 22000, to boost recognition from both domestic and overseas buyers. (Certifying body: Perry Johnson Registrars) We sincerely comply with our food safety standards and deliver high quality products.
